Weston James Earl McKennie is a popular American professional soccer player who plays for Serie A club Juventus and the United States national team as a midfielder. As a versatile player, he is able to play in a multitude of positions in midfield-mainly as a box-to-box or as a deep-lying defensive midfielder.

Coming through the youth system, he started his senior club career at Bundesliga side Schalke 04. McKennie established himself as a first-team player, playing 25 games in all competitions in 2017-18. Schalke 04

2016-2018

McKennie refused to sign a Homegrown Player deal with FC Dallas in July 2016. He then joined German Bundesliga side FC Schalke04 in August 2016. Following spending less than a year with Schalke’s academy team, he was elevated to the first-team squad in May 2017. Weston made his professional debut as a 77th-minute substitute in a 1-1 draw with FC Ingolstadt 04 on May 20, 2017. This was his only appearance in the 2016-17 season. Weston then made his league debut for Juventus on September 20, starting and playing the whole 90 minutes in a 3-0 league home victory over Sampdoria.
