Tyler Shaan Adams is a professional American soccer player who plays for Premier League club Leeds United and captains the United States national team. He is a homegrown player of the New York Red Bulls academy and turned professional with the New York Red Bulls II as a 16-year-old before joining the New York Red Bulls’ first team a season later. In January 2019, he joined RB Leipzig. Whereas in July 2022 he joined Leeds United three and a half years later.

A Career with New York Red Bulls II

He was signed to New York Red Bulls II on March 19, 2015, the club’s senior reserve team playing in the United Soccer League. In January 2019, he joined RB Leipzig, returning him with former coach Jesse Marsch. On January 27, he made his first league start in a 4-0 victory against Fortuna Dusseldorf. A groin injury sidelined him for the summer of 2019 and the first half of the 2019-20 Bundesliga season. He missed the first leg due to a minor calf injury. The game finished 3-0 (4-0 on aggregate) with Leipzig victorious and advancing to the next round.
