Professional career

In the 2005 NFL Draft, Chang was signed by the Arizona Cardinals after going undrafted, however, he was cut in training camp. That year, he also played for the Detroit Lions in the preseason, but did not make the final roster. In 2006, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, who allocated him to the NFL Europe. Chang played for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europa for the 2006 season, completing 50 of 89 passes for 656 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions, as he shared playing time with Drew Henson.
