Sultan Kosen is a popular Turkish farmer who holds the Guinness World Record for the tallest living male at 251 cm (8 ft 2.82 in). He is of Kurdish ethnicity and the seventh tallest man in history. His growth resulted from the conditions of gigantism and acromegaly, caused by a tumor affecting his pituitary gland. Because of his condition, Kosen uses crutches to walk.
