Who is Stewart Cink?

Stewart Cink( Stewart Ernest Cink ) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. In 2009 he won the Opening Championship where he won against Tom Watson in a four-hole aggregate playoff. From 2004 to 2009 he was on the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking where he spent over 40 weeks. In 2008 he reached a career 5th best rank.

Career

He started his professional career in 1996 after he won the Mexican Open and three other events on the Nike Tour now the Korn Ferry Tour. After that, he joined the PGA TOUR in 1997. While at the PGA he managed to win the Canon Greater Hartford Open in his rookie season.

Stewart performed well continuously on the Tour over the next few years, where he won again at the 2000 MCI Classic. After that he contended in the 2001 US Open, however, he missed the playoff by a single stroke with a bogey on the 72nd hole. In 2009, he won the Open Championship, however, 2004 was his best season where he got the fifth-place finish on the money list and also a win at the MCI Heritage and the WGC-NEC Invitational, which was one of the World Golf Championships events.
