Steve Stewart Biography
Steve Stewart is an American sportscaster. He is currently serving as a pregame host and play-by-play announcer on the Kansas City Royals Radio Network. The 2011 season was his fourth with the Royals, his 12th in the Major Leagues and his 20th broadcasting baseball.
Stewart broadcast AAA baseball for the Calgary Cannons and the Richmond Braves, as well as college baseball at the University of South Carolina, where he was also part of the football and basketball broadcasts.
His college play-by-play experience includes football at Maryland and Cincinnati as well as basketball broadcasts at Maryland, Cincinnati, Xavier, South Carolina, and Richmond. He also spent seven years in TV news and sports.
Stewart spent four years as a Cincinnati Reds broadcaster (2004–2007), the first 3 on WLW Radio and in 2007 on TV as a pre-game host and fill-in play-by-play announcer for FSN Ohio.

In 2002, he called several St. Louis Cardinals games on KMOX. He’s broadcast basketball games for several colleges, including the Universities of Richmond, Maryland, Cincinnati (football and basketball) and Xavier.

From 2000-2003 he worked in Baltimore for WBAL radio and WBAL television as a sports anchor/reporter and talk show host. One of his roles in Baltimore each year included filling in on Orioles radio play-by-play and Tv.

Stewart is a St. Louis native and a graduate of Southern Methodist University. Stewart began his broadcasting career as a student at Southern Methodist University, where he broadcast football and basketball.

He has not disclosed the identity of his wife. This is because he loves keeping his personal life off the public sphere. Otherwise, he lives in Overland Park, Kan. His son John is a student at the University of Kansas and started classes in the Fall of 2017
Steve Stewart Impact Nations
Steve Stewart is the founder and president of Impact Nations. As a young married man, Steve encountered Christ in 1976; his life immediately and radically changed. Five years later, he pastored his first church while also working for school board. Following this, Steve established three Christian schools in western Canada.
In the years since then, Steve and Impact Nations have traveled to multiple nations in Africa, Asia, Central America, and South America. Churches have been planted, hundreds of thousands of lives have been impacted: in many nations the sick have received medical care, the hungry have been fed, and communities have received clean water.
Additionally, farms, small businesses, schools, and clinic have been established. Steve often thinks back to his encounter on the airplane. No one is more surprised than him at what the Lord has done.
