Santita Jackson is an American singer and political commentator. She is a contributor at the Fox News Channel where she joined in April 2012.

She is a founding contributor at The Grio, an MSNBC website dedicated to African American news and opinion.

She is also the host on The Word Network show. As a singer,she has toured with Roberta Flack and performed the National Anthem at President Clinton’s Second Inauguration.

She attended John J. Pershing Elementary School and Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, she was a National Merit Scholar there. While interviewing for admission to Harvard University, she was criticized by two alumni for her father’s political views.

Though she was ultimately accepted to Harvard, Jackson said of the school, “I didn’t feel it was the proper environment after that interview.” She subsequently attended Howard University on a full merit scholarship. She became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority while at the university. Following her time at Howard, she worked as an aide to Illinois congressman Gus Savage.
