Rick May (full name: Richard J. May) was an American Voice actor, teacher, director, and actor born in Seattle, Washington, U.S. May who is best known for providing the voice for Peppy Hare in Star Fox 64 and Soldier in Team Fortress 2, died on April 13, 2020, of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Before his stage and acting career, May served in the U.S. military and was stationed in Japan, where he coordinated USO shows in Tokyo. He later returned to the Seattle area to serve as the director of the Renton Civic Theatre and Civic Light Opera in Renton, Washington. He played all 21 roles with a variety of voices in one production of the Cotton Patch Gospel in Renton.

In 2001, he retired from the Renton Civic Theatre. He then made a move in starting his own theater company in Kirkland, Washington, and become a full-time actor.

He also began voice acting in video games in the late 1990s. May played Inspector Lestrade in the Imagination Theatre radio series The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes from 1998 to 2019. In the related radio series The Classic Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, he played Lestrade. May also played various roles in other Imagination Theatre radio dramas.

The Star Fox 64 and Team Fortress II voice actor died at the age of 79 of the coronavirus on April 13, 2020, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.

In February 202, he had suffered a stroke and had been moved into a nursing home for rehabilitation. According to Rekindle School, a Seattle educational institution he had taught at, May caught the virus while in the nursing home. He was then moved to Swedish hospital where he received care before he passed on.
