In 1992, he was an assistant professor, and in 1995 an associate professor and was awarded postdoctoral positions in molecular parasitology and pediatric infectious diseases at Yale University School of Medicine. Since 2005, he has advocated for increased efforts to control NTDs through publications and speaking engagements.
