Patricia DiMango is an American media figure and a retired judge. She was born in Brooklyn, New York City and now lives in Los Angeles, California. She serves as one of the three judges on the panel court show Hot Bench aired on CBS. Justice DiMango is the first Italian-American woman to be elected as justice of the State Supreme Court.
After her graduation from law school, DiMango served 5 1/2 years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. In her time there, Justice DiMango was given the extra responsibility of being cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. She then worked s a law clerk in both Kings and Queens Counties to Supreme Court Justices Steven Fisher, Reinaldo Rivera, and Luigi Marano. During this time, Justice DiMango volunteered as a Small Claims Court Arbitrator.
Judge Dimango was appointed by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani as a Judge of the Criminal Court of the City of New York in the year 1995. Before her appointment, she served as a school teacher at NYC Public School. She also served as the Acting justice of the State Supreme Court, 2nd Judicial District 1998.
