Michelle Lujan Grisham (born: Michelle Lynn Lujan) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 32nd Governor of New Mexico. From 2013 to 2018, Lujan represented New Mexico’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.

Michelle became the first Democratic woman elected as governor of New Mexico on November 6, 2018. She also became the first Democratic Latina elected state chief executive in the history of the United States.

She also served as Secretary of Health of New Mexico (2004–2007). From 2010 to 2012, she served as Bernalillo County Commissioner. She was also elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2012 election, defeating Janice Arnold-Jones.
