Who is Markus Krosche?
Markus Krosche is a recognized German football coach and former player. On July 1, 2019, the Bundesliga RB Leipzig club appointed him to be their sporting director. Krosche filled a vacancy opened by the exit of Ralf Rangnick and in 2021, he became the sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt. He then revealed his exit from Leipzig to Eintracht Frankfurt in April 2021.

Playing career
In 1999, Krosche earned the German A youth championship as team captain with Werder Bremen. He then switched to the 2001/02 season from Bremen’s amateurs to regional league rivals SC Paderborn 07. With the club, Krosche completed second in the 2004/05 season, equal on points with champions Eintracht Braunschweig, and managed to get elevated from the Regionalliga Nord to the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2008, as the longest-serving player, Markus extended his deal with SCP by a further 4 years until 2012. He took over the role of team captain from Rene Muller following leaving the club after Paderborn was relegated to the 3rd division.
In the 2008/09 season, he made an immediate comeback to the 2nd Bundesliga with Paderson. Following extending his deal again in 2011, he concluded his career as a professional soccer player in the summer of 2014. In Markus’s last season, Paderson was elevated to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2013/14, to which he contributed with 18 appearances and 2 goals. He then played 192 times for SC Paderson in the 2nd Bundesliga and 162 times in the 3rd divisions. This makes Krosche the 2nd player of SCP 07 and its predecessor clubs in professional football. He was then elected to the SC Paderborn 07’s eleven of the century in 2007.
Managerial career
Krosche has been a manager at SC Paderborn from 2014 to 2015 and later at Bayer Leverkusen as an assistant from 2015 to 2017. He is currently the sporting director at Eintracht Frankfurt.
