Who Is Mark Gordon?

Mark Gordon is an American politician currently serving as the 33rd governor of Wyoming. Moreover, he’s a member of the Republican Party. Prior to being governor, he was serving as the state treasurer. He was appointed by Governor Matt Mead on October 26th, 2012 to occupy a vacant left by the death of Joseph Meyer.

During 2008, congressional race, Mark was competing for the Republican ticket. However, he lost in the primary which was held by Barbara who was retiring. In addition, he lost the seat to Cynthis Lummis, also a former state treasurer and the wife of Alvin Wiederspahn, a Democratic and former state representative.

In addition, former U.S. senator Alan K. Simpson of Cody, a moderate Republican, supported Gordon’s campaign. However, he did not endorse him openly since he was also close with Lummis.
