Early Career

She started her career in New York after graduating from law school. In 1991, she started working in her mother’s law firm  Allred, Maroko & Goldberg. Bill O’Reilly sexual harassment allegations

Her firm defended three women who accused then-Fox News presenter Bill O’Reilly of sexual harassment in 2017. Jehmu Greene, a Fox News television analyst, approached Bloom with sexual harassment charges against O’Reilly, however, she ultimately declined Bloom’s services. Wendy Wash, one of her client filed the complaint which led Fox News’ parent’s company, 21st Century Fox, to launch an investigation against O’Reilly’s. Moreover, the investigation led to the dismissal of O’Reilly’s and eponymous program.

Donald Trump Sexual misconduct allegation

In October 2017, film producer Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual misconduct. This case made Bloom receive media attention. Moreover, she decided to advise Weinstein on power dynamic and harassment, calling him ” referring to him as old dinosaur learning new ways”.Bloom’s advisory role, which she took on in late 2016, was criticized for its dissonance with her previous representation of sexual assault victims. Some in the media referred to her book adaptation deal with The Weinstein Company, which she signed while Weinstein was co-chairman, a conflict of interest.

Bloom resigned away from her advising post on October 7, 2017, two days after the original piece on sexual misbehavior in The New York Times. While the divorce was still pending Bloom sued Martin Chitwood in California on behalf of Carol Chitwood.
