Who is Leah Hope?

Leah Hope is an American award-winning journalist who serves as a reporter for Chicago’s ABC 7 News. She joined the station in 1997.

Hope debuted her broadcasting career at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland as a general assignment reporter. Prior to joining ABC 7, she worked at KATU-TV, the ABC affiliate in Portland, Oregon. While there, she anchored weekend evening newscasts and reported during the week. She had also held the same positions at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She is a visiting faculty member at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida. Hope is also a Journalism Advisory Board member at Columbia College.
