Who Is Keith Cutler?
Keith Cutler CBE is a Senior Circuit Judge. in addition, he has been the resident judge of Winchester and Salisbury since 2009. Together with his wife, they run a reality TV show called Couples Court with the Cutlers. Both of them practice law, and their show premiered in 2018.
After graduating from law school he was called to Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1972. After that, he was appointed to be an Assistant Deputy Coroner in order to conduct the inquest into the death of Mark Duggan on 4th August 2011.
Mark Dugan was shot and murdered by police in Tottenham, North London. However, the Metropolitan police stated that officers were attempting to arrest him on suspicion of planning an attack and that he was in possession of a handgun.
Furthermore, Keith has also served as Secretary and then as President of the Council of Circuit Judges (COCJ). In addition, Cutler has been a lay canon of Salisbury Cathedral since 2009. He earned the title of Commander of the British Empire in the 2010 New Year’s Honours List. Moreover, he was summoned for jury duty once and granted exemption despite assuring officials he was the judge presiding over the case.
