Katherine Tai ( Katherine Chi Tai) is an American lawyer currently serving as the 19th United States trade Representative from March 18th, 2021.
Tai is the first Asian-American and first woman of color to serve in that position. Previously she was working as the top trade counsel for the United States House Committee on Ways and Means as a member of the Democratic Party.
