Who is Josh Hawley?
Josh Hawley ( Joshua David Hawley) is an American politician, attorney, and former professor. He serving as the junior US senator from Missouri since 2019.
Prior to being the senator, he served as the 42nd attorney general of Missouri for two years from 2017 to 2019. In addition, he is a member of the Republican Party. He defeated two-term incumbent Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill in the 2018 election.
After graduating from law school, he was hired as a law clerk where he spent two years, clerking for Judge Michael W McConnell of the US Court of Appeals for Tenth Circuit. He clerked for Michael from 2006 and 2007. After that, he cklarked for Chief Justice John Roberts of the U.S. Supreme Court from 2007 to 2008.
He was then hired in the private sector as an appellate litigator at the law firm Hogan $ Hartson, he worked there for three years from 2008 to 2011. After that, he worked for the Becket Fund for religion Liberty in Washington D.C. from 2011 to 2015. While working at Becket he was writing briefs and giving legal advice in the Supreme Court cases.

Josh declared his bid to run for the US Senate in October 2017, under a Republican ticket. This was after he had formed an exploratory campaign committee in August 2017.
