Jim Acosta (Abilio James Acosta) is an American broadcast journalist. Currently, he is the CNN anchor and chief domestic correspondent. During the Trump administration, Jim served CNN as the chief White House correspondent. At that time, Jim’s popularity increased for his clashes at press briefings with President Donald Trump. Additionally, Acosta was the senior White House correspondent during Obama‘s tenure as the US president. Acosta and CNN filed a civil suit through Ted Olson and Ted Boutrous of Gibson Dunn on 13th November 2018. They filed a suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The CNN suit was against Trump, John Kelly, Bill Shine, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Randolph Alles, and unknown secret service agent in their official capacities.
