Jacey Birch Biography
Jacey Birch is an American traffic and weather presenter for Florida’s Local 10 News.
Birch attended Deerfield Beach Middle and High School. Then, she headed to the University of Florida where she then completed a major in political science and also a Bachelor of Science with a major in journalism. She describes herself as a tree-hugger as she is vegan and an advocate for many rights foundations. Birch is also known for using her TV platform to bring awareness to the causes that she supports.
She got her first job out of University in 1999 while receiving a reporting role with WBOY Network in Clarksburg, Virginia. Jacey covered the expected disaster of the Y2K bug and her story won her rave reviews.
She has also worked with WZTV in Nashville, Tennessee. She caught the eye of a producer in Florida during her time in Nashville. There, they offered her a role with their local 10 stations. Birch jumped at the opportunity as it would mean being closer to her home and parents.

She got engaged to her boyfriend Local 10 meteorologist Trent Aric in November 2014. The couple had been friends for many years but they only began dating in late 2013.
On the day Trent proposed, Birch thought she was coming into the studio to film an interview with The American Kennel Club but however as she made her way to the set she saw Aric on one knee. The two eloped a few months later to Bora Bora, with only the local celebrant and event planner as their wedding witnesses. The couple chose the emerald blue waters at the Four Seasons Resort as their wedding venue. The wedding took place on 12 April 2015.
Birch regularly works with the Human Society of Broward County and there she adopted her 2 dogs, Simba and Jagger.
