Who is Howard Stern?
Howard Stern is an American radio and television personality, author and comedian. He is well known due to his radio show, The Howard Stern Show which was nationally syndicated on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005. He has often described himself as the King of All Media since 1992 following his success outside his radio career.
Stern started his radio career while he was still at Boston University where he landed his first jobs. He established his on-air personality from 1976 to 1982 through morning posts at WCCC in Hartford, Connecticut, WRNW in Briarcliff Manor, New York and WWDC in Washington D.C.

Stern’s father introduced him to radio, a sound engineer. Despite being an awkward and shy child, Stern found an outlet in the medium and began producing his own show on a tape recorder. The Howard Stern Show began airing in 1985 on New York City’s WXRK-FM after which it was syndicated nationally the following year.
