In the 2015 Emmy-winning television series Transparent, Hari starred as Tante Gittel. Because of the role, she received a 2016 SAG Award nomination. In 2018, she starred as a major lead in Sam Levinson‘s comedy thriller Assassination Nation. The film stars Hari alongside Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, and Abra. Also in 2018, she had a recurring role as Blythe on the Lifetime psychological thriller television series You. That same year, she made her New York theatre debut as a lead in Jeremy O.
