An Early Career

In May 2013, he made his professional boxing debut at the age of 19. Then he faced Filipo fighter Jayson Mac Gura and was victorious via a second-round technical knockout. After defeating world number nine Brandon Ogilvie in December 2016, he captured the WBA Oceania title. In May 2017, he faced Qamil Ball whom he defeated in a ten-round fight via unanimous decision. Five months later, he won the WBA Oceania and IBF Pan Pacific titles in the lightweight division after knocking out Krai Setthaphon in the ninth round. George was tabbed by Manny Pacquiao as his main sparring partner in June 2017 in preparation for the fight with Jeff Horn.

He went on and signed a promotional contract with DiBella Entertainment in April 2018. George made his debut in the US in May 2018 when he knocked out Jose Forero in just 11 minutes and 48 seconds. At The MGM Grand in Las Vegas on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner on January 19, 2019, he defeated Rey Perez via unanimous decision in his second fight on US soil.
