Who is Gaby Roslin?

Gaby Roslin is an English television presenter. She became famous while co-hosting The Big Breakfast on Channel 4 Network from 1992 to 1996.

She also hosted the Children in Need charity telethons on the BBC from 1995 to 2004. Furthermore, she was the host of the weekly The National Lottery Draws on Saturday evening and co-hosted the Channel 5 daytime program The Saturday Show together with Matt Allwright.

Career

Her career began in 1989 when she hosted Hippo show on the Superchannel and then Motormouth on ITV until 1992. After that Planet 24 approached her to host their new early-morning program The Big Breakfast together with Chris Evans on Channel 4. In 1994 Evans left the show and Roslin continued with Mark Little who replaced Evans until 1996. Following her departure, she was hosting the Gaby Roslin Show for Channel 4.

Roslin hosted shows for children in need from 1995 to 2004. Other British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) roles included “The real Holliday Show”, “Watchdog Health Check”, “Whatever You Want” and “Television Issues “. Roslin is one of the hosts of the 2000 BBC program, which will run for 28 hours to see in the year 2000. Moreover, Gaby was the only presenter who maintained a live broadcast during this period.

In 2002, Roslin briefly returned to Breakfast TV as a traveling reporter for breakfast. Gaby teamed up with Terry Wogan in 2004 and co-hosted the first edition of Eurovision-Making Your Mind Up the refurbished successor to A Song for Europe the UK’s long-running pre-selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest. However, Gaby was later replaced by Natasha Kaplinsky in 2005. Roslin also hosted the daytime program Solution street alongside Ben Shephard. In addition, Gaby joined the BBC celebrity duet show Just the Two of Us in February 2006 where she partnered with ABC main man Martin Fry.

Gaby appeared more often on the ITV lifestyle program This Morning where she was a newspaper reviewer alongside her former radio co-host Paul Ross. In 2014 she hosted The National Lottery Draws live on BBC One until 2006. In that same year March 2014, Gaby hosted a daily show which was called Sport Relief’s Top Dog on BBC Two. She also hosted the third series of BBC One’s Food Inspectors show together with Matt Allwright and Chris Hollins in 2014. Radio Career

On 15th and 22nd August she stepped-in for Alan Carr on BBC Radio 2 alongside Patrick Kielty and later joined Car to host a Christmas edition of his show on 24 December 2009. Roslin was also a random stand-in for BBC London 94.9 where she was covering for Vanessa Feltz and JoAnne Good. Gaby later replaced Good permanently on January 11, 2010, as a co-host alongside Paul Ross of the BBC London 94.9 breakfast show where she worked until January 2013.

After she left the breakfast show she was given her own weekly Saturday Show live from noon until 2:00 pm in January 2013. In 2014, she moved to an extended Sunday afternoon show. In June 2018, she began hosting Gaby’s Talking Pictures a panel show for BBC Radio 4 which features team captain Ellie Taylor and Thomson. She still hosts the show up to now.
