Kenneth Eric Church is a prominent American singer-songwriter. Since 2005, he has released nine studio albums through Capitol Nashville. His 2006 debut album titled Sinners Like Me produced three singles on the Billboard country charts. Including the top 20 hits “How ‘Bout You”, “Two Pink Lines”, and “Guys Like Me”.


His second album 2009s Carlina produced three more singles: “Smoke a Little Smoke” and his first top 10 hits “Love Your Love the Most” and “Hell on the Heart”. His first No. 1 album 2011s Chief gave him his first two No. 1 singles “Drink in My Hand” and “Springsteen”. And additional hits like “Homeboy”, “Creepin”, and “Like Jesus Does”. A Career from 2006 to 2007

He co-wrote Terri Clark’s 2005 single “The World Needs a Drink” and the track “Whiskey Wings” on Dean Miller’s 2005 album Platinum. In addition, he started recording with different producers. But Capitol Nashville showed no interest and they watched him perform but they were yet to be convinced enough to offer a recording contract. However, after some time, Capitol Nashville signed him. His first single “How ‘Bout You” peaked at No. 14 on Hot Country Songs and led off his debut album Sinners Like Me. For the first time in April 2006, he performed on the Grand le Opry. The other album’s two singles, “Two Pink Lines” and “Guys Like Me”, both reached the Top 20 as well. Following the album’s success, he went on and toured with Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts.

A Career from 2008 to 2010

Eric released the fifth single “His Kind of Money (My Kind of Love)” in 2008 to country radio. On the Billboard Hot Country Songs, it debuted at No. 55 in early 2008 and reached its peak of No. 46 in August. “Love Your Love the Most” was the following song that debuted in early 2009 and was the first single from his second album Carolina released in stores on March 24, 2009. Love Your Love the Most brought Church to the top ten for the very first time as the song peaked at No. 10 in September 2009. The live album’s title was announced on February 8 as Caught in the Act with a set release date for April 9. His album Chief won Album of The Year at the 2012 CMA Awards in November. He stated he had plans to take some time off from music in 2013 to focus on his songwriting and musical direction. Church released a new single titled “The Outsider” on October 22, 2013. His fourth album was released on February 11, 2014, and was titled “The Outsiders”. A Career from 2015 to 2018

His fifth album Mr. Misunderstood arrived in the mailboxes of his church choir members on November 3, 2015. The album’s release was a surprise with no fanfare and no promotional advertisements. It was produced by Jay Joyce and executive producer Arturo Buenahora, Jr. On November 9, 2015, the first single, the title track was released on radio. At the 2015 CMA Awards, the first live performance and debut of the title track were done.

On February 6, 2016, the song peaked at #15 on the airplay chart. At the 2016 ACM Awards, Mr. Misunderstood was nominated for Album of the Year and the title track was nominated for Video of the Year.
