Emma Louise Barton is a recognized English professional actress. Barton is popular for the role of Honey Mitchell in EastEnders which she has played on and off since November 2005. Prior to her role in EastEnders, she appeared in Spooks and on stage in plays such as Grease. Barton competed in the seventeenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, paired with professional Anton du Beke, making it to the Grand Final in 2019.

She joined the cast of EastEnders as Honey in November 2005 and portrayed the role until September 2008, when the character was among several written out by executive producer Diederick Santer that year. After a short return in 2014, it was revealed on September 6, 2015, that she would return to the role permanently in November of that year. Barton then sang live for Children in Need in the BBC studios in London on November 14, 2008.
From December 2008 to January 2009, she starred in the title role of Snow White in the Marlowe Theatre’s Canterbury pantomime together with Stephen Mulhern. She later was touring the UK in the stage production of Chicago together with Twinnie Lee Moore and Jimmy Osmond playing Roxie Hart. Barton then opened two BreastHealth UK clinics in the Birmingham area in June 2009. She played the part of Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk at Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne in December 2009.
Barton later became the Ambassador for Locksheath Pumas Rugby Club in Fareham, Hampshire in May 2014. She then reprised her role as Honey in EastEnders for a brief time in May 2014. Barton was also a contestant in Celebrity Masterchef in June 2014. In 2014, she portrayed Dolly in the National Theatre’s touring production of One Man, Two Guvnors. In the 2016-17 Christmas pantomime season, she played the role of Tinkerbell in the Crawley Hawth Theatre pantomime production of Peter Pan. She appeared together with Shaun Williamson as Captain Hook and Richard David Caine and Joseph Elliot (from CBeebies Swashbuckle) as pirates on Captain Hook’s ship.
