Eddie Mekka was an American professional actor, popularly recognized for his role as Carmine Ragusa on the hit television sitcom Laverne & Shirley.
Eddie Mekka Career
Mekka headed the Worcester County Light Opera in Massachusetts, training young people how to sing in the early 1970s. He then moved to Los Angeles after performing on Broadway in The Lieutenant, being nominated for a Tony Award. Eddie landed the role of Carmine ‘The Big Ragoo’ Ragusa for Laverne & Shirley in 1976, acting on the series till its cancellation in 1983.
Eddie starred in around 50 television shows and movies throughout his profession. His most recent TV credits comprise 24, The Salute Life of Zack & Cody, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Bold and the Beautiful.
