An Early Career
He started playing basketball at the age of seven. And went on to sign with the Bendigo Braves, his father’s former team of the NBL 1 for the 2019 season. Later that year, he joined the NBA Global Academy, a training center at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. He thus helped Victoria win a silver medal at the 2021 Australian Under-20 Championships. A Professional Career
A Career with the NBA G League Inginite (2021 to 2022)
He signed with the NBA G League Ignite n June 21, 2021. This is a developmental team affiliated with the NBA G League. Thus he turned down offers from several college programs and the National Basketball League Next Stars program. He then competed in the Rising Stars Challenge at the 2022 NBA All-Stae Weekend and helped his team win the title. In 26 games in the G League, he averaged 12 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and two steals per game. He then went on and declared for the 2022 NBA draft on April 16, 2022.
A Career with the New Orleans Pelicans (2022 to present)
He was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans as the eighth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Thus he joined the Pelicans’ 2022 NBA Summer League roster. However, he suffered a right ankle sprain in the second quarter of the Pelicans’ Summer League opener against the Portland Trail Blazers. The injury forced him to be ruled out of the rest of the Summer League. On July 9, 2022, he signed a rookie scale contract with the Pelicans.
