He attended the McKeel Academy and transferred to the IMG Academy for his junior season. At McKeel Academy, he averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals as a sophomore in 2012-2013. He then led McKeel to a 17-8 overall record and to the FHSAA championship tournament regional semifinals in 2013. At IMG Academy Bacon in his junior season of 2013-2014, he was IMG’s leading scorer.
