Who is Cavan Biggio?
Cavan Biggio (Cavan Thomas Biggio) is an American baseball second baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Career
He started his career back in high school after he was selected by the Philadephia Phillies in the 29th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. However, he didn’t sign the deal and instead chose to join the University of Notre Dame. In 2014 and 2015, she played for the collegiate summer alongside Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
After high school, he was considered as a top prospect heading into the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. During the fifth round, he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays. After that, Cavan signed with Blue Jays for a $300,000 draft slot bonus and was assigned to the Vancouver Canadians of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League. Cavan was rated an All-Star for Vancouver on July 26.
He ended the 2016 season with the Class A Midwest League’s Lansing Lugnuts.

Rookie of the year
In 62 games he had batted 273 with 26 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. He was later assigned to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Double-A Eastern League to start the 2018 season. Cavan was named Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player of the Eastern League on the 1st of September. Cavan started the 2019 season with the Triple-A International League’s Buffalo Bisons. He hit.307 with six home runs in his first 42 games with the Bisons.
On May 24, 2019, Cavan was summoned to the Toronto Blue Jays. After that, he made his major league debut that night compared to San Diego Padres. Two days later, on May 26, he got his first league hit. In his next follow-up to that game, he hit his first home game.
