Carlos López Rivera is a Puerto Rican politician currently serving as the mayor of the Dorado. Lopez is a member of a popular party known as the Democratic party. Moreover, he has served as mayo since 1987.
Career
He began his career in politics in 1987 after he was sworn in as the new mayor on August 3, 1987, taking over from Alfonso Lopez Chaar. During the 1988 general election, he decided to run for a full term. After declaring his bid he joined the race and he emerged the winner of the election and was officially elected in 1988. As a result, of his work, he was reelected again in 1992, after that he was reelected again in 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012.
