Who is Brittany Garzillo?
Brittany Garzillo is an American journalist who serves as an evening general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at Fox 32 (WFLD) Chicago. FOX 32 (WFLD) is a Fox owned-and-operated television station licensed to Chicago, Illinois, United States.
Garzillo is also a NATAS Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award-winning journalist. Originally, she began as a Reporter/Producer at PBS39 in her hometown of Bethlehem, PA. While there, she received 13 NATAS Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award nominations for her work. She was also awarded a PICPA “Truth in Finances Award” by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants for her reporting on Bethlehem’s City Revitalization and Improvement Zone in 2015.
During her time with PBS39, she produced documentaries including Second to None: The Liberty High School Grenadier Band and also The Salvation Army Legacy documentary.
She then joined WGAL News 8 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in January of 2018 where she served as a traffic anchor and general assignment reporter. She was with the station for two years. In her tenure, Garzillo covered a variety of events including a presidential rally, the closure of Three Mile Island, and historic flooding.
