Bobby Portis Jr. is a famous American professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Portis played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks, receiving consensus second-team All-American honors in 2015 as a sophomore. High school career

Bobby played started his high school basketball career at Hall High School in Little Rock. There, he was a highly decorated prep player, receiving McDonald’s and Parade All-American status, and was also named Mr. Basketball of Arkansas in 2013. Portis averaged 12.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game as a freshman at Arkansas. He was then named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team and second-team All-SEC. Portis was later named to the preseason All-SEC team and guided the Razorbacks to a top 25 ranking in his sophomore season. He averaged 17.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game during his second and final season. Portis was then named one of 20 finalists for the John R. Wooden Award for national college player of the year, one of only two players from the SEC.

He was later picked as the SEC Player of the Year by the league’s coaches on March 10, 2015. Chicago Bulls (2015-2019)

Bobby was picked by the Chicago Bulls in the 2015 NBA draft with the 22nd overall pick on June 25, 2015. On July 7, 2015, he signed his rookie scale deal with the Bulls. He then scored 10 points in the Bulls’ 25-points defeat by the Charlotte Hornets on November 3, 2015, in his NBA debut. The Bulls then exercised their third-year term option on Portis’ rookie scale deal on October 28, 2016, extending the deal to the 2017-18 season.
