After recording seven goals (including three game-winning goals) and one assist, she was named 2017 NWSL Rookie of the Year, which helped Courage win the 2017 NWSL shield. A Career at Brigham Young University
From 2013 to 2016, she attended Brigham Young University (BYU) where she played for the BYU Cougars women’s soccer team in the West Coast Conference (WCC). In her freshman season, she started in all 21 games, where she scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists. And she went on to earn All-WCC Freshman Team honors and was named an All-West Honorable Mention, CollegeSportsMadness.com’s WCC Freshman of the Year, and was ranked 82nd in the Freshman Top 100 by Top Drawer Soccer.
In 2014, during her sophomore season, her 15 shots in one match set a new school record. Whereas her 18 goals tied for the fifth-highest in the program’s history. On October 15, she was named Player of the Week by ESPNW and was names WCC Co-Player of the Year. She went on to earn All-WCC First Team and NSCAAAll-West Region First Team honors. In 2015 as a junior, she started in 10 of the 13 games she played. However, she suffered an injury that prevented her from playing for the majority of the season.
She scored four goals—including three game-winning goals— and recorded two assists. In 2015 and 2016, she was ranked the best player in the West Coast Conference by Top Drawer Soccer. During her senior season, she scored a hat-trick against Penn State in August thus resulting in her being named Player of the Week by ESPNW for a second time. A Club Career
A Career with the Carolina Courage, 2017
She was selected as the second overall pick of the 2017 NWSL College Draft by the North Carolina Courage. On April 10, 2017, she signed with the team. And made her debut for the club on April 17 during the club’s second match of the 2017 season in a 1-0 win over Portland Thorns FC. On June 3, she scored her first goal during a 2-0 win against FC Kansas City. During a match against the Boston Breakers on June 24, she scored the game-winning goal in her team’s 1-0 win. She went on to score game-winning goals in matches against the Seattle Reign FC on July 8 and Washington Spirit on August 19.
Overall, the Courage finished the regular season in first place with a 16-7-1 record thus winning the NWSL Shield, and was the first team to secure a plot in the NWSL Playoffs after a 4-0 win over the Houston Dash where she scored the fourth goal. In her 24 appearances for the Courage, she scored seven goals. In the semi-finals after defeating the Chicago Red Stars 1-0, they advanced to the NWSL Championship Final but lost 1-0 to the Portland Thorns. After recording seven goals (including three game-winning goals), and one assist in her professional season, she was named 2017 NWSL Rookie of the Year.
A Career loan to Melbourn City (2017 to 2018)
