Who is Andy Beshear?
Andy Beshear is an American lawyer and politician currently, serving as the 63rd Governor of Kentucky since December 2019. Moreover, he is a member of the Democratic Party. He was elected as Kentucky Attorney General in November 2015.
As an attorney general, he sued Governor Matt Bevin (whose predecessor was his father) multiple times as attorney general on topics including health care and pensions before challenging and narrowly beating Bevin in the 2019 gubernatorial race.

He announced his interest to run for the gubernatorial seat on July 9th, 2018.
