Harwick is known for appearing in the 2015 documentary Addicted to Sexting, about the proliferation of the social phenomenon and its effects. She was also previously engaged to The Price Is Right host Drew Carey. A representative for Carey had confirmed their engagement in 2017 bu the two split after about a year-long engagement.

Amie Harwick Death
Hollywood officers responded to a radio call of a ‘woman screaming’ in the 2000 block of Mound Street in Hollywood Hills on Saturday, February 15, 2020, around 1:16 a.m. Harwick’s roommate met the officers on the street and informed them that Amie was being assaulted.
They found Amie gravely injured on the ground beneath a third story balcony. She had suffered significant injuries consistent with a fall and was unresponsive. The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The investigators said they discovered “possible evidence of a struggle” and signs of an intruder.
Amie’s ex-boyfriend Gareth Pursehouse, 41, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Saturday by FBI-LAPD Fugitive Task Force members outside his residence in Playa Del Rey as a suspect in the murder.
